GCSF Endowment Campaign
The Germantown Community Scholarship Fund (GCSF)
officially kicked off its $1,000,000 Endowment Fundraising Campaign
in 2006, the 25th anniversary of GCSF’s founding. The Endowment Fund is a
stabilizing force that guarantees GCSF’s work will continue regardless of
the economic forecasts. A contribution to GCSF’s Endowment Fundraising
Campaign is an investment in the future of our youth!
Thanks to the generosity of local organizations, individual community and
corporate friends, nearly $700,000 has been raised for the Endowment Fund.
To help spread the word about GCSF’s Endowment Fundraising Campaign, a
series of events are being planned across the community to generate funds.
The Annual Dinner Auction took place in February at the Quilted Bear
Restaurant in Germantown.
During the “Building Towards a Million” portion of the
verbal auction, attendees have the opportunity to make donations specifical
for the Endowment Fund. By raising the balance of
the Endowment Fund account to one million dollars, GCSF hopes to
increase the
amount and number of scholarships that we are able to award each year.
Since 1981, GCSF has awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarships to 1,825 Germantown area students who are pursuing their education at a college, university or vocational / technical school.
As a non-profit organization, the GCSF relies on charitable contributions. To find out more about how you can help with this worthy cause contact us at info@germantownscholarship.org
